Privacy

The app works without accounts or sign-up. We never ask for your name, email or phone number, and we do not sell or share personal data.

What stays on your phone

Your favorite club, the light or dark theme, data saver and the notices you dismissed are kept in your browser's storage. They never leave your phone. To erase them, clear this site's data in your browser.

If you switch languages, a first-party cookie (lang) remembers it for a year so the app opens in your language. It is the only cookie we use.

Notifications

If you turn on notifications, we keep the subscription your browser creates (an address at Apple's, Google's, Mozilla's or Microsoft's push service, and its keys), your language, your time zone (so nothing rings at night), the clubs and players you follow and whether you asked for the night's summary. It is not tied to your name or email. It is stored at Upstash (a database in the United States) only to send you the notifications you asked for.

It is deleted when you turn notifications off in Settings, when your browser's push service tells us it no longer exists, or on its own one year after the last notification we sent you.

Who wins?

If you vote for a club before a game, your browser makes a random number and keeps it on your phone. We keep, for one week, only a fingerprint of that number (a hash, from which the number cannot be recovered) next to your vote, to count one vote per phone, and each club's total. It is not tied to your name, your email or your IP. Your votes and how many you called stay in your browser.

Usage statistics

We count page views with Vercel Web Analytics and measure speed with Speed Insights. They use no cookies and no profiles: we only see totals.

Technical logs

Our hosting provider, Vercel, logs technical details of each request (such as the IP address and the browser) for a short time, to run and protect the service. To stop abuse we keep, for one minute, a number derived from your IP, never the IP itself.

YouTube videos

The games the clubs stream, their highlights and their channels' videos play in YouTube's player, in its privacy-enhanced mode, which loads only once you tap a video. The videos' thumbnails, on Today, More, Videos and a game's recap, come from YouTube's image server. To know which videos there are, our server asks the YouTube API Services, sending nothing about you. Watching one, the YouTube Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy apply.

Sports data

Scores and stats come from MLB Advanced Media. When our server asks for them, it sends nothing about you.

Advertising

We show no ads today. If we ever show sponsorships, they will be from brands we deal with directly, without tracking you across apps or building profiles, and we will say so here.

Children

The app is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes

If we change this policy, we update the date above.
