Final from Estadio Quisqueya Juan Marichal: the Águilas Cibaeñas beat the Tigres del Licey 9-5, and the season series is even at 1–1. Licey jumped out early behind Gustavo Nunez, who went 5-5 with a triple, an RBI and 2 runs scored, while Albert Abreu worked 5.0 innings without an earned run, striking out 8 with no walks. But the defense let them down: 6 errors on the night.
The turning point came in the top of the 6th: Raynel Delgado lined a single to left, Luis Liberato and Jorge Bonifacio came around to score, and with a throwing error by Mel Rojas Jr. mixed in, it was 3-2. Then in the 7th, Jorge Bonifacio put it away with a bases-clearing triple to make it 7-2. Raul Brito got the win, Jordi Martinez took the loss, and Jonathan Aro locked down the save with 1.2 innings and 2 strikeouts.
