The Estrellas Orientales are rolling. They took down the Gigantes del Cibao 12-6 at Estadio Julián Javier, piling up 13 hits, and now lead the season series 2–0. César Prieto was the star, going 4-5 with a homer, a double and 2 RBIs, capped by a solo shot in the 9th. Harold Ramírez went 3-5 with 2 RBIs, 3 runs scored and a stolen base. For the Gigantes, Noelvi Marte went 3-4 with a home run and 2 RBIs.
It was tied 3-3 in the top of the 2nd when Raimel Tapia sent one over the right field wall with Harold Ramírez aboard, and the Estrellas never gave that lead back. In the 8th, Leo Bernal went deep too, and an Oscar Gonzalez force play brought home 2 more to make it 10-5. Geison Urbaez got the win with 4.0 innings and no earned runs, while Jared Wetherbee took the loss.
