Licey came from behind at Estadio Cibao! The Tigres del Licey beat the Águilas Cibaeñas 6-2 behind a 14-hit attack, after spotting the home team an early lead. The Águilas struck first: in the bottom of the 1st, Jorge Bonifacio went deep with Mason McCoy aboard to make it 2-0. Joan Adon gave the Águilas 3.0 innings with 4 strikeouts.
But the Tigres kept coming. Ramon Hernandez doubled home José Barrero in the 3rd, and Angel Ortiz tied it 2-2 in the 4th with a single that brought in Estevan Florial. The big blow came in the 6th: Barrero doubled in Elier Hernandez, and Gustavo Nunez tripled Barrero home. Florial, 2-4 on the night, added another double in the 9th. Michael Arias got the win and Génesis Cabrera took the loss. League-leading Licey moves to 5-2, while the Águilas fall to 1-5.
